Fighting For Nebraska

🌾 Agricultural Parity

Nebraska farmers deserve fair prices for their crops, not Wall Street profits. Mike Flood talks about farm bills while family farms disappear.

I’m fighting for true parity pricing that ensures farmers receive the cost of production plus a fair profit—not government subsidies that favor corporate agriculture.

🏥 Medicare For All

Healthcare is a basic human need. Flood voted against expanding healthcare access while rural hospitals close across Nebraska.

I support Medicare For All—comprehensive coverage that follows you from job to job, farm to town, covering prescriptions, dental, vision, and mental health. No premiums. No deductibles. No bankruptcies.

⚖️ Constitutional Due Process

Your rights aren’t negotiable. While Flood supports expanding surveillance and government overreach, I stand for liberty first.

No warrantless searches. No civil asset forfeiture without conviction. No detention without due process. The Constitution applies to everyone, equally, every time.

🚜 End Corporate Control

Family farms built Nebraska. Now corporations dominate our markets, set our prices, and control our future.

I’ll break up agricultural monopolies, enforce antitrust laws, and ensure local farmers can compete. Your land, your labor, your freedom.

💰 Lower Taxes, Less Waste

Flood votes for massive spending bills then claims to be fiscally conservative. Actions matter more than rhetoric.

Cut defense spending. Stop exporting war. Eliminate corporate welfare. Let working families keep more of what they earn. Government should live within its means.

🌍 Individual Liberty

Government should protect your freedom, not control your choices. From farming practices to healthcare decisions, you know best.

Reduce unnecessary regulations. Respect personal autonomy. Trust Nebraskans to make their own decisions about their lives, families, and businesses.

The Real Difference

Mike Flood talks conservative values but votes for big government, corporate subsidies, and restrictions on individual liberty. Here’s where we actually differ:

Issue Nik Sandman (Libertarian) Mike Flood (Republican)
Agriculture Parity pricing – farmers receive cost of production + fair profit. Break up agribusiness monopolies. Support farm bill subsidies that favor corporate agriculture. Takes contributions from agribusiness lobbyists.
Healthcare Medicare For All – comprehensive coverage for every Nebraskan. No premiums, deductibles, or medical bankruptcies. Opposes single-payer healthcare. Voted against Medicaid expansion. Rural hospitals continue closing.
Civil Liberties Protect the Constitution – no warrantless surveillance, no asset forfeiture without conviction, due process for all. Supports expanding surveillance powers. Backs law enforcement overreach. Votes for patriot act extensions.
Government Spending Cut waste – reduce military spending, end corporate welfare, balance the budget through smart cuts. Votes for trillion-dollar spending bills. Claims fiscal responsibility while increasing national debt.
Personal Freedom Your choice – reduce regulations, respect personal decisions, trust individuals over government. Supports government mandates. Backs restrictions on personal autonomy.
Who They Work For Nebraska families – funded by individual contributions from working people. Career politician. Owns 15 radio stations and 7 TV stations. Big corporate PAC money.

Meet Nik

Nebraska Farmer

I was born in Stratton and grew up on a farm near Wauneta, Nebraska. I moved to Lincoln thirteen years ago. I am a retired wheat, milo, corn and melon farmer after 26 years. I worked as a rural mail carrier for 15 years.

I endured the USDA farm program for 25 years as a farmer. I have been thinking about it anew for the last few years and have come to realize that it was always to ensure the lowest possible prices for my production. The farm program turned away from the concept of a fair price for our production shortly after 1950 and has moved steadily for 75 years toward an ever cheaper price (supported only by subsidies). The subsidies have fallen aside and now no longer support the income of farmers, giving the current disaster on the farm.

I propose that we change to a concept of parity for farm prices. The USDA calculates the parity (fair) price for farm commodities and updates them every month. The current market price of corn, for example, has fallen so far behind parity that it stands at only 24% of the parity price as of October, 2025.

I’m a Libertarian because I believe in freedom—economic freedom for farmers, personal freedom for families, and constitutional protections for everyone. Government should protect your rights, not control your life.
